This magnificent volume represents a unique and profound memorial to the fallen of Northern Ireland and the Falkland’s conflicts.
It is a record of acts of bravery and heroism that will remain an inspiration to generations of soldiers.
The men and women contained within these pages paid the ultimate price for their service and it is with the greatest gratitude to
them that I commend this publication to you. Let it serve as a lasting reminder not only of their sacrifice but also of the values
and principles for which they died. They died serving their country and protecting their comrades in order that you and I should live in peace.

It is entirely in keeping with those values and principles that the profits raised from this publication
be donated to the Demelza House Children’s Hospice.

The qualities that we try to encourage and promote in today’s Armed Forces are encapsulated in the lives and deaths of those on these pages. When faced by adversity, today’s sailors, soldiers and airmen draw strength from the example of those who have served and died before them. Those remembered here live on in the hearts and minds of the Armed Forces and we are proud to serve in their shadows.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

We are the only children's residential hospice in Kent, East Sussex and South London providing a wide range of services to life-limited children.

Demelza-James provides a hospice at home service for children in East Sussex and South West Kent with life-threatening and life-limiting illness and their families. The service complements the care offered at Demelza House.
