these memorials stones are dedicated to some of those who have given
the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the Armed Forces.

The Garden in Palace Barracks remembers some of those who have lost their lives in
Northern Ireland, The Falkland Islands and the United Kingdom,
  the Memorial Custodian is also responsible
for the Memorial Garden at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn, Co. Antrim.

Musician Christopher Nolan
18 October 1989 ... Died in hospital as a result of the injuries he received in the bomb explosion on the 22nd September 1989 at the Royal Marines School of Music in Deal, Kent

L/Cpl William G. Jolliffe. Aged 18.
Killed 1st March 1971

L/Cpl William G. Jolliffe was killed when his Land Rover was hit by petrol bombs and crashed in Londonderry,
He was from Chippenham, Wiltshire and he had just returned from attending his Father’s funeral. 

Cpl Thomas F. Lea. Aged 32

Cpl Thomas F Lea was wounded by a booby trap bomb in West Belfast in August 1974. He later died from his injuries.
He was from Bootle, Merseyside

Sgt David Ross. Aged 31
Killed 27th March 1984. 

Sgt David Ross was killed in Londonderry as a result of an explosion as he was driving an MOD mini-bus.
He was a member of the Special Investigations Branch and came from Edinburgh.

Sgt Sheridan Young. Aged 26.
Killed 18th May 1973.

Sgt Sheridan Young killed by a car bomb as he left a hotel in Omagh. Three other senior NCO’s were also murdered with him.
They were all attached to 652 Squadron Army Air Corps. He was from Bourne-End in Buckinghamshire.
